Pongo a écrit :Hi Martin,
I am English , but live in the Limousin region of France.
I have just imported from the u.k. a 12/2008 350 Bullet Classic( 750 kms) and had it delivered to my door by 'Bike Movers U.K.' for just under £2500 for the whole deal. I bought it through an ebay connection. I suggest you look through the U.K. dealer sites which you will find through the Watson Squire importers site http://www.Royal-Enfield.com There are some good deals about.
Importing a new or nearly new bike from the U.k. should be straightforward to re-register in Belgium, as the European certificate of conformity number is shown on the English registration document.
Direct Imports from India could be a problem to register , as they do not conform to the latest (2009) emission control standards. They are genuine rebuilt classics to new condition. I considered one myself, but the amount of work needed to comply was costly. I am sure that the quality of restoration is acceptable as they are all rebuilt from genuine parts, but they will arrive with an Indian registration number, NOT as an unregistered machine, and that is where the problems start.!
Hope this helps a bit!
